A great TV series which came to an end on BBC1 tonight. I thought the acting and the production values were all superb.
An interesting moral quandry at it's heart too. Half way through the series, the friend of the main protagonist on the side of justice, Dutch diplomat Knippenberg, suggests to him, in frustration at the failure of the Thai police to act against the serial killer Sobraj, that they just shoot him.
My misses said no, you can't second guess justice, I said yes, kill him! Imagine how many innocent lives would have been saved.
Anyway, the good news is he's been banged up in Nepal since 2003, no picnic I imagine, and has had major heary surgery in that time. Some consolation for the victims' families.
