Watkin’s Broken Hand

Watkin, who signed a new two-year contract last week, played with a strapping on his hand at Bournemouth for what he thought was just a sprain.

“We are trying hard to find a light cast that will enable him to play,” explained Swansea manager John Hollins. “But it will be all down to the referee on the day. Some referees allow you to play with a cast, some don’t. Wato will travel to the Abbey Stadium with us just in case.”

Hopefully this mean the dawn of the partnership Swans fans have waited for since the arrival of Savarese last month. Walter Boyd with Sava should give us the finishing power we need to help us out of this god awful position we’ve put ourselves in!

Watkin just hasn’t been taking enough of the chances thrown his way the last couple of games.

To be fair he’s hit the post too may times, and this injury just goes to prove what luck the boy is having at the moment.
