Swans 0 Notts Co. 1

What can I say there is very little to talk about really! The game started very positively for the Swans and they seemed to be carrying on from were they left of against Brentford in LDV a week ago, Romo and Keegan were combining well down the right wing and creating chances. Then disaster struck after 12 mins. With our defence allowing a long range shot from around 30 yds which looked rather tame Roger seemed to have the ball covered but no-one could believe our eyes when the ball hit the back of the net! There didn’t seem to be a deflection, but obviously Hollins hadn’t done his homework again as Notts Co. beat Northampton with a similar if more dramatic goal on Saturday.

With their confidence smashed and Notts Co. happy to sit on their lead with 10 men behind the ball the Swans struggled to create hardly any chances, forcing Savarese to come further and further away from goal to get an ounce of possesion.

That’s the 1st half over and done with!!

After the intial putting ourselves needlessly under pressure at the begining of the 2nd half (AGAIN!) there as a little more bite in the Swans play (but not a lot!)

Keegan was benched for Psycho for little effect apart from allowing Roberts to go back on his favoured right wing and Psycho on the left. But it still yelded very little.

Then Hollins made his most comical substitution in few weeks, when 1-0 down and chasing the game he takes off a striker (Verschave) and brings on a defender (Phillips), to the toon of “YOU DON’T KNOW WHAT YOUR DOING!” from a very despondent North Bank who in the mass have given up on any hope of survival!

Due to our Horrey tactics of hoofing the ball up to no target man there were no clean cut chances in the match really for the Swans apart from an early Keegan effort which went just wide.

If Notts County are a Play Off contending team, then we can’t be that far off! That is the worst thing about this game as to be fair they had only one chance in the game (and that wasn’t the one they scored from!) which Roger saved well from a point balnk position. So how the hell can they sit in comfort contending for promotion while we look already dead and buried!

Hollins I’m asking you nicely Please Resign! We can’t afford to sack you so do the honourable thing and quit as your pride will be the death of this club! Thanks for the Memories, But you’ve outstayed your welcome!
