Retro Bury

It goes from awful to worse, what a waste of ร‚ยฃ10. Admittedly we’ve played two of the best teams in this division in the last two weeks, but for God sake there was no passion, no commitment, and a lot of players need kicking from the squad nevermind the starting lineup. Coates as was requested dropped by Hollins for Super Stu to take the left wing.

All went to pot after 5 mins however after a great through ball by Bully sent LittleJohn surging forward cut inside Bound who was tracking him back and let rip past Freestone. This set a rather docile tone for the North Bank who never really got going after conceding such an early goal. After a poor start Roberts had worked out how to round his man, and started to harrase him plenty.

With Thomas and Cusack putting some good balls to Roberts feet he set to work. In fact this was the only way we looked like scoring with “Shit-a Pearl” Boyd and Watkin playing their usual poor game, to be fair however their both returning from injury. On 15 mins Roberts cut infield and took on the centre defender’s rounded them and then sailed his shot wide.

Then on 25 mins a mix up between Boyd and Watkin gave Roberts a chance, but his shot was well saved. The game flared up on 35 mins when a late challenge on Psycho Thomas brought a 10 man handbag slapping contest, both Thomas and Collins were booked. Thomas was put through on goal 5 mins from HT with a debatable Offside after a a good through ball from Watkin.

The Second half saw more of the same, with Bury clinical if not ethical in their tackling! One player in particular Nick Daws, Bury’s captain was lucky to stay on the pitch till half-time nevermind the whole game time after time he gave away bookable offences but was only booked once! In fact our possesion play just got worse second half, with O’Leary and Howard having awful games. Giving the ball away time and again.

It got worse half way through the second half with Hollins showing his tactical nievity by taking off one of our better players Price and replacing him with the Donkey Coates! Switching Roberts to the right wing with Coates on the left. From there it just got too painful to watch, with little pressure from ourselves Bury were content to play on the break. And they reaped their reward.

I’ll let the Bury Ed take over for this “On 88 minutes, the Shakers deservedly doubled their advantage; Nick Daws headed the ball across goal to Super Chris Billy, who calmly slotted the ball across the face of goal for the rampant Jarrett to slam home number two! Absolute bedlam in the online chat, as the poor Swansea fan who had joined us was deluged!!! ๐Ÿ˜‰ “

The final whistle went to loads of booing and the disgruntled North Bank started to call for the newly appointed Chairman Neil McClure to be sacked, dosen’t sound like your a popular decision does it Neil. Money needs to be spent urgently on the squad before we end up in a slump like Cardiff did last season. I’m not falling for this PR coup about these two French players, their just trying to make out that their looking! Sign now or pay later!
