Roberts To Rotherham?

Roberts, who was one of the bright spots in Swansea’s dismal season last term is now officially out of contract at the Vetch and has been informed that he will not be offered any more than the current offer.
This current offer is believed to be a substantial pay cut on what he is currently earning although the club deny this and say that he has been offered improved terms.
Stuart has constantly said that he does want to stay at Swansea but is now being forced to look elsewhere, another blow to Swansea fans still reeling from the loss of Steve Jones, Martin Thomas, Giovanni Savarese and Walter Boyd.
So far, the only replacement for any of these players is former Swan John Williams although a few ‘unheard of’s’ are presently on trial at the Vetch.
Stuart has also been linked with moves to Stoke City and Charlton. Although out of contract, Swansea will still receive a fee for the Welsh Under-21 international as he is below the age of 24 that applies in the Bosman rule. Whether any fee that we receive is passed back into team strengthening remains to be seen but we doubt it.
Meanwhile, Giovanni Savarese is being linked with a move to Oxford United after being released. This seems an unlikely move but if it does come off then again it will be another body blow to the supporters when a former favourite lines up against us next season.
