New Swans Chief Desperately Seeking Support

Swans fans were expecting a major announcement this morning, but all they heard were promises of new investors – and when all summed up it means – The status Quo returns. Like his predecessor Neil Mcclure, a man that still has a hold over Swansea matters with club shop and car park agreements as a part of the sale, Lewis seems out on his own in his new venture.
The man who has stated that ” My hands were tied ” when Mcclure was in charge, has progressed nothing since last weeks takeover, and considering the time he has had to plan this coup the future at this time is not as suggested last week. Ex Chairman Steve Hamer will not be involved with Mike lewis on any matters of business, even Swansea business, and Martin Morgan the much touted ex Travel House millionaire is busy with developments in other areas, and has never been close to any ” take over ” talks with Lewis or any other party. That leaves local man and Swans fan, David Bradshaw who apparently if the media are to be believed is a friend of Mike Lewis !
What Swansea City fans have this morning is a club being run by a man with no experience whatsoever in the field of running a professional football club at this level. And that will reflect in summer signings and dealings at a minimum. Players should also be on their guard with a saleable value. The ongoing daily debt at Swansea is in the negative and stands at three thousand five hundred pounds. Mike Lewis has neither the capacity or financial support to sustain this over any given period of time. Regardless of the unnamed investors announced today.
On the Chairmanship of the club this site can reveal that Chris Pitson, son of once South Wales Evening Post photographer Len Pitson was asked to be involved recently. That honour, clearly something that Western Mail employee Pitson would have revelled in has yet to be rubber stamped. And of course, any dealings will come at a cost. Lewis has aspirations to be involved at the FA of Wales, and if this was to come to fruition, then he could not be involved at Swansea City. It goes without saying that Lewis would relish the chance of becoming the next secretary of the FA of Wales. Could Pitson help him here ? It’s open to speculation, and our sources, very close to Lewis and the FAW are concerned at these recent revelations. Once again we hear of secret meetings and lunches, no doubt at the clubs expense to further the career of Mr Lewis, who should now be directly involved in creating a club with hope, not a passport to other opportunities.
In the coming weeks we will hear clever announcements straight from the Ninth Floor PR gravy train that Lewis has learned so much from in recent years. It is sad that Swansea City fans now have nothing more than a cheaper version of what stood before with Ninth Floor PLC, and worries of exactly ” what happens next ” will be at the forefront of all Swans fans minds. The first casualty of the new regime is likely to be Martin Burgess, Financial Director of the club, a man whose position could become an immediate question in the next week or two. Again this site has provided you the fans with exclusive Swans news, NEWS that the club DO NOT want you to hear, draw from it what you will, and make your own mind up about the future of a club that could easily be in administration in just a few weeks time. And that in itself is no bad thing with Steve Hamer and his business contacts in the sidelines, and of course the Swans supporters trust.
