Mamady Sidibe Signs

The Newport game was Sidibe’s only full 90 minutes of pre-season so far although he has played in the games against Aberystwyth and Carmarthen. Hollins will be hoping that the signing relieves his striker crisis which left the club at the end of last season with just one striker in Steve Watkin.
John Williams has also signed in the close season for a third spell at the club where he started his league career and fans will be hopeful that the combination of pace and height could form a decent partnership up front in the Swansea attack.
Sidibie, we are led to believe from reports within the Swansea camp is a player who is capable of putting himself about which we will welcome in the third division but only time will tell whether he will be able to adapt to the English game the way is required.
The signing of Sidibe comes just one day after Hollins released youngsters Bari Morgan and Alex Davies and we can only speculate on what the contract budget is at the Vetch and how much we are paying the foreign imports.
For Hollins sake, we have to hope that he is signing players which imporve our squad – only time will tell.
