Desperate Man?

Well, the good news is we haven’t sold anyone. Not for the want of Mr Lewis trying mind. Roger to Oxford? Smudger to Cambridge? Boundy to Wycombe? Stuart to anyone that Mike can think of? But they are all here. No money from transfer fees anyway.
Next up we have the sacking of Hollins. A good move Mike thinks "That’ll get the crowds back near the magical breakeven figure" but it didn’t happen. Why he asks. The simple reason is people want him out as much, if not more, than they wanted Hollins out.
The club, and Mike in particular is getting desperate. It is only a matter of time at current levels before we have to call in the receivers. Maybe Mike has spoken to them already who knows.
But What happens on October 4 when the three months is up. Wait and see we have some news coming through on that front very soon for you. Mike Lewis needs to do something and fast. We need to hope it is the right thing – the last scenario that we need is to see Mike offloading our better players to get some money to keep him in a job the next few weeks.

The club needs to rid itself of the last tie with 9th Floor. McClure in the summer, Hollins last week just leaves us with Lewis. He hasn’t taken the club forward and I hazard a guess that we are as far away from new investors now as we were back in July when he parted with the shiny ร‚ยฃ1 coin to buy the club.

I’m not sure of his sleeping patterns but if I was Mike they wouldn’t be clever at the moment. I’d be worried, very worried indeed and maybe it is time for him to do the decent thing and admit that maybe, just maybe he is out of his depth?
