Robbo Must Stay

There is a degree of optimism at the Vetch that is growing at the moment. Only a fool would take some of the credit for that away from Stuart. According to the voting on www.scfc.co.uk, Stuart won 5 of the first 11 man of the match awards this season.

Take him and Gareth Phillips and they have been the two outstanding players of the season to date. Added to that, Stuart is also the club’s top scorer so far with 4 goals, if we lost him from this team would we be able to cope with replacing what Robbo can offer?

It is absurd that we have kept him on with this week to week contract especially when you consider that he wants to stay at the club. Fair enough, Mike Lewis saw/sees him as a saleable asset but we need him and we have to hope that the new owners will see that.

But why should we sit back and hope that the two parties can agree a contract that Stuart deserves? We need to make our feelings heard and loudly. On this basis, I am getting together a petition. Your name needs to be added to it if you think Stuart should stay. In my opinion, he is improving all the time as a player and while I do not doubt that at some stage he will play at a higher level than Swansea, for now let’s keep him here. Who knows if we start making the right moves on the football league ladder he may never leave.

We, at jackarmy.net are asking you to sign the “Robbo Must Stay” petition. If you click here you will be taken to the petition message board that will contain all the comments. Of course, you have to be registered to post on a Rivals.net message board but panic not, if you aren’t registered and don’t want to register then the board also contains an e-mail link from which you can send an e-mail and we will add your comments to the petition.

It’s time for a bit of good old fashioned fan power and let our voices be heard – STUART ROBERTS MUST STAY.
