It’s been a traumatic week at The Vetch and with the dust clouds beginning to settle (for now), OUR football team are in action tomorrow and they need your support. Whether in person, in spirit or in prayer, will them on and help them get the three points.

There are players in the team that are wronged, plenty of them but they are playing and they are playing for the club that we love. We have to appreciate that and for 90 minutes put Black Wednesday out of our mind and shout for the Swans.

The Swans will line-up at Southend as follows

Freestone

De-Vulgt Todd O’Leary Cusack Howard

Coates Mumford Appleby

Roberts Williams

8 of that starting 11 were affected this week by the problems. Sing their names, show the appreciation for them and get right behind them.

From a footballing point of view, it is a game that we need to win – the league position is not healthy, we are just four points off the bottom of the Football League and we need to start rectifying that. Tuesday night was disappointing, we lost our way during the game after a promising start and we need to change that. We have played good football under Addison and Nicholas and we are capable of doing so again.

This game could be a good tension release for the players and travelling up today to get them out of Swansea will have extra benefits as well. We all know that everyone has rallied together – the players have been hardest hit and now they need you.

Shout for the Swans.
