Consortium Make Bid

Full details of this will be in the press tomorrow and also at tonight’s meeting but we hear that the bid has been made in an attempt to get the club back in the hands of owners who give a shit and can only be good news.

The ball is now very much in Tony Petty’s court and we await his decision on the bid with baited breath. This, of course comes about following the sacking (or not sacking as the club claim) of seven first team players last week.

We also read with dismay this afternoon that the club say they only took this action with full consultation from the PFA which tends to disagree just a little bit (well, fully actually) with what the PFA and the players say.

Let’s hope that the consortium are successful and that they have people inside there who have actually read the meaning of the word truth in the Oxford English Dictionary.
