News From The Court

After two days in the court room this week another adjournment was granted until a week on Friday (23rd) for Mel Nurse to prove that he has the finances to keep the club going beyond any administration that may be granted.

After Tuesday’s seven and a half hour hearing was adjourned until today, the proceedings continued for little more than an hour after Nurse provided evidence that he may well have the funding to take the club forward

We believe that calls have been made my Nurse’s side over the past few days to try and secure the finances and that there is every chance that the funding will be in place.

The basics now are that Mel has until 6pm on Monday to prepare the evidence that this is in place which includes a business plan with approval from the football league that the club can continue in administration.

Petty on the other hand has until 6pm on Wednesday to respond. Petty, Nurse and an ‘unnamed individual’ should be in court next week in case there is a need for cross examination.

Mel Nurse meanwhile has been ordered to pay the costs involved in Tuesday’s hearing.
