The Welsh FA In Context

Today, just hours after the disgraceful scenes at Ninian Park were witnessed by the nation the FAW ( Welsh FA ) were put in to context, and maybe answers the question ” Just what do you do in Westgate Street, Cardiff “
The English FA have decided to put in to place their own investigation in to the scenes that marred Cardiff City’s win over Leeds at Ninian Park on Sunday. News ?
Yes indeed it is for Swansea City fans. The English FA have in the past left investigations in to problems at both Cardiff and Swansea, and sadly there have been many, to the FAW. However, with the recent poor handling of Swansea’s crisis by the FAW ( they have done nothing ) the English FA have brought about their own inquiry. And who can blame them ?
We know that many of the staff at Westgate Street are supporters of Cardiff City, and that’s not a problem. But many will question any result of any inquiry by the FAW alone. In recent weeks many footballing people have asked the FAW to investigate the supposed criminal activity going on at The Vetch Field. But the only response we have heard is “
We are monitoring theย situation ” Some inquiry that. And all the time one of Wales oldest institutions, Swansea City AFC is slowly being eroded and eaten away by people like Tony Petty, John Shuttleworth, Mike Lewis and in the past Neil Mcclure and his Ninth Floor regime.
The Welsh FA simply cannot be trusted to carry out a quick and effective inquiry in to the scenes at Ninian Park, although Swansea City were quick to be fined twenty thousand pounds for ” Cyril the Swan ” running on to the pitch in a 3-0 win over Millwall. There is a great amount distrust towards the FAW from both Cardiff and Swansea fans, and the English FA have echoed that today by carrying out their own inquiry in to the attacks on Leeds fans, police and stewards after the game on Sunday.
It seems not only the Welsh footballing public question The FAW and it’s running, indeed the same questions are being asked at Lancaster Gate. And that is the biggest slight against the FAW in years.
And still begs the question ” Whilst Tony Petty and his cohorts bounce cheques, preside over a dodgy lottery scheme, lie about sick relatives, rip the heart and soul out of a football club nearly 100 years old, threaten extinction in the courts, sell our best players and allow Mike Lewis access to the ground to do whatever he likes – Just what are the FAW doing about it ? “
And the only answer we can come up with is ” Nothing ” And that answer has been given to us by the English FA at Lancaster Gate. And the FA of Wales should hang their heads in shame.
