The talks with Flynn and Reeves were re-opened last night by committee member Hugh Jenkins and we understand that both were in agreement with the terms of the offer and will start their new jobs, we believe after Saturday’s game with Torquay for which Nick Cusack will remain in charge of team affairs.
Flynn and Reeves we are told were always first choice for the management committee but this seemed a deal that had died last week when Flynn wanted to bring Kevin Reeves with him. Quite what prompted the change of heart is anyone’s guess but whatever it was we now have Brian Flynn at Swansea City.
Regulars to this site will know that I have strong reservations about this but an appointment has been made and for now I will keep an open mind about this. This is not the appointment that I would have gone for but after the long hard season we have been through anything deserves to be given a chance.
Quite how the duties will be split between Flynn, Cusack and Reeves remains to be seen but I would imagine that Flynn takes charge of the team selection and the hiring and firing with the other two taking on more of the coaching aspect of things.
Another new door opens at Swansea City….
We would like at this time to invite Brian Flynn and Kevin Reeves to talk to the fans and if they wish to do so then we are prepared to let this be the medium. They can contact JackArmy.net on 07768 507695. Together we can build a better future?
