With the FAW Premier Cup final now less than a week away, we are 12 days maximum away from learning the names of the players that will be released by the club this summer in another step away from the horrific season that we have just been through. Of course, players out through the exit door means that players have to come in through the entrance door and Wednesday will start that process.
We understand that several players have been invited to take part in this game and no doubt many Swans fans will be guessing at who will be playing. At present, we are unable to confirm many names that are on the list but as soon as we get more information on the game we will bring it to you.
What we can confirm at the moment is that the name of James Thomas, someone many Swans fans have been saying we should sign, is not on that list and we don’t think that Dean Saunders is either. However, that is not to say that they won’t be playing just that at this moment in time they are not.
Nick Cusack has a massive job ahead of him this summer and this is the first step that he is taking. We hope that he will find a few faces that he wants to talk to more at this game and that they will benefit the overall standard of football that we watch week in week out.
Watch this space for more news on the game.
Meanwhile, Swansea continued their warm up for next week’s final with a 2-0 win at Port Talbot this afternoon – both goals coming from Mamady Sidibe.
