Home > Story Index >Thomas Offered Terms? |
Nothing, we understand, has been committed to paper but we hear that the Swansea fan has been offered a contract and verbally agreed a wage with the club which will see him come ‘back home’ |
However, Thomas, 23, is also understood to have a trial at Oxford lined up next Tuesday but still sees Swansea as his first choice and if the full details can be ironed out then we can expect him to become a Swansea player in the very near future. |
Thomas has made only one league start at Blackburn since signing for them as a trainee in 1997 but has one league goal for the club in his four total appearances. He has also had loan spells at West Brom, Blackpool, Sheff Utd and Bristol Rovers but is believed to fancy a move back to Swansea, where his family are still based. |
Thomas is highly thought of by people who have watched his career and could well be the answer to the striking problems that we have had in recent years. The ball now appears to be firmly in the court of Nick Cusack and the board to finalise the deal and make Thomas a Swansea player. |
Of course, next week we will see Cusack announce his retained list and how nice it would be for Nick to be able to do this at the same time as he shows he wants to bring in new talent with a possible signing. |
We await further developments but 9 James Thomas sounds pretty good to me? |
