For those that have not seen it, this is the post in question – I defy anyone to read it and not be touched by what it is saying

A PARENTS NIGHTMARE!!!!!!!!!

Although this posting is under my wifes name, it is actually Jackdad as I am having trouble logging on.I must apologise for taking up so much board space but I have to make my feelings known to all of you so called football fans. I was at the game last night with my son and daughter. I considered the risks before booking my tickets and decided that as season ticket holders at the vetch it would be a pity to deny my family the chance to see their team in a Welsh cup final.we have travelled all season to away games with out a hint of trouble and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, meeting other families on the way. Last night was the most terrifying experience of my life as a parent. When the game ended we were making our way back to the bus and all hell broke loose, bricks ,stones, bottles and other missiles were thrown in our direction. The police then moved forward to disperse the Swansea crowd and in doing so caused a stampede, both my self, son and daughter were knocked to the ground and pinned up against a wire fence, grown men were falling on my son squashing him , his screaming and terrorized look will will haunt me for years,he was looking at me as his dad to help him ,his hand stretching out begging for help, but i was unable to help as i was pinned to the floor. I was his dad the one he comes to for help I was useless what could I do . thank god someone heard my screams for help as i told them my son was under the crowd of bodies the police and others were pulling people up to get to him I honestly thought my son was going to die in front of me . This posting has been the hardest thing that i have ever written but hopefully it will get through to some of the hooligans that innocent people are at risk , I could have lost my son last night and for what FOOTBALL?.

Now you tell me that this is right? Here we have one person who took his two children to see a football match and almost lost one of them there. How can that be. I don’t have children but if I did I would want them to be Swansea fans just like me. When I read things like this I wonder if I want to watch football any more – you can call that overdramatisation if you like but you have to question whether it was worth it.
Bill Shankly once said "Football isn’t a matter of life or death – it is more important than that" Bill Shankly was a great manager but on that occasion he talked complete BOLLOCKS. The man who made this message board post has experienced something that will live with him forever and I wouldn’t wish what he had to go through on my worst enemy.
Swansea fans will not need reminding that this post brings back memories of that tragic day in Rotherham when Terry Coles lost his life – another innocent person caught up in the ugly side of football.
I am not going to point any finger of blame here at anyone. This is not the time for saying "it was his fault" or "it’s their fault" this is simply something that should not be allowed to happen at any football ground. I have no idea how old this guy’s son is but he was taken to a football match and nearly didn’t come home.
SO much has been posted on the Message Board today about flags, political allegiances, hooliganism etc but the fact is this is football and it should be something that all members of the family should be able to enjoy in safety.
Let’s just think about it?
