Ahead of the match tonight against Oxford, there was joy for Leon Britton as he received his PFA Player of the Month award on the pitch from former Swans manager, and representative of the PFA Nick Cusack.
Britton gained the award because the Swansea fans on the internet voted for him in appreciation for the performances that he had put in during the course of February. A Swansea fan was also present at the ceremony – a fan is drawn at random to present the award from all of those who voted.
The joy though was short lived for Leon as he lasted just eight minutes into the match after a clash of heads left him heading back to the changing room.
