Maylett Signs Two Year Deal

Maylett, who started this season in real style with a hat trick against Bury saw a dip in form with most of his team mate over the latter part of last year and the early part of this but has shown signs of improving his performances over the course of recent weeks.

He claims that some of this is down to the arrival of Stuart Roberts at the club which has given him the shove in the right direction which he needed.

“I wanted to complete it sooner but the new manager was always going to have his opinions,” the 23-year-old told the South Wales Evening Post.

“I had to prove myself to him and didn’t have long to do it.”

“I’ve been very impressed by Brad during my short spell at the club and I’m delighted to tie him down for another two years,” said Jackett.

The signature of Maylett should also end any speculation about a move back to former club Burnley with ex Swans boss Brian Flynn hotly tipped to take over from the departed Stan Ternent who it was announced on Monday would leave the club.

Flynn is expected to be named in charge at Turf Moor over the coming weeks and speculation is quickly growing that he may return to the Vetch to try and lure some of ‘his’ players away to join him in his new challenge. Hope you have some money spare Brian!
