Successful Swansea City fanzine, A Touch Far Vetched, has taken the next step to ensure it’s continued success by launching it’s own web-site following on from the very near sell out of issue one.
A Touch Far Vetched sold out in little more than three hours following it’s launch in April 2005 and a second issue is already planned to co-incide with the first league game to be held at White Rock Stadium.
From the proceeds of issue one, £400 was donated towards the youth set up at the Vetch which is almost enough to buy a full kit for one of the teams within that department. With heavy season ticket sales already achieved and more expected over the coming weeks, the editorial team have planned more copies to be available for the second issue to avoid potential disappointment if people cannot get hold of them.
Via the web site (atfv.co.uk) for the fanzine, supporters will be able to
-
Order back issues of the fanzine (availability permitting)
-
Order the next issue in advance either by cheque or postal order
-
Arrange a subscription for the next six issues at a reduced rate
-
Send in their own contributions for future issues
-
Volunteer to help sell the fanzine outside the new stadium or anywhere else
As well as that, the web site will contain extracts for the upcoming issues as soon as they are available. Issue two will contain all of the following and more
-
Should we have left the Vetch Field? For and Against the argument
-
When Away Is Home
-
You can’t support two teams – can you?
-
The adventures of Lee Trundle
And much much more. The cover price of the fanzine remains at £1.00 outside the ground, £1.75 for UK postal orders and £2.50 for overseas postal orders.
All profits from the fanzine are donated to the youth development side of Swansea City with the aim of assisting in the production of what we hope will be future talent.
