Twice now the site has run articles on problems that people have experienced with their season tickets and tickets for the opening games at White Rock – Fulham and Blackburn.
Last nights article contained a long e-mail from Jamie Donald with his tales of woe experienced on getting tickets for the upcoming games.
Well, first thing this morning, club vice chairman and trust representative on the board Leigh Dineen called me to see how he could resolve these problems. The long and short of it is that he has and Jamie Donald and hopefully a couple of others are now soon to receive the tickets they required and can take their places in the stadium for the opening games at White Rock.
We all know that there have been problems in the ticket office and believe you me Leigh is all too well of them. I won’t go into major details as to what has gone wrong or why it has happened but suffice to say it has happened and it is to be resolved.
It is easy to sit back and criticise and it would have been quite easy for Leigh to sit back and ignore the comments that have been made. Without boring anyone he did mention to me some of the red tape that he is working through to get the problems resolved and I take him at his word that they will be resolved.
The club is not perfect but we do also have to sit up and remember that we do have a board of directors that do care and pretty much understand the frustrations that we can feel at times. And full credit for taking the time to sort out problems personally for some fans and ensure that their fears were alleviated.
All I can add is well done and long may it continue but for their own sanity I hope that the problems resolve themselves sooner rather than later!
Thanks Leigh.
