If You Don’t Laugh……

Two days to the first game and now some fans are a little confused? if it wasn’t bad enough worrying about their season tickets or obtaining a ticket for the opening game they have already had to worry about their travel to the new stadium

But fear not, help is at hand (!) in the guise of Modus, a company based in Cardiff with the motto "planning your journey to work" Well, let’s hope they are better at that or the queue in the job centre may increase slightly if their timings are anything to go by.

All day today we have read comments from people about their travel plans and now one Swans fan has shared his with us.

Derek is a Jack and lives in Bridgend. On a good day Bridgend to Swansea is around half an hour by car. And to the new stadium even easier. So how is Derek going to get to Swansea by 3pm?

Well, the simple answer is he isn’t. The wise people at Modus have decided that he needs to get there at 5pm presumably so he can ask all the people leaving the stadium what the score was. Teletext is an easier option for this.

But despite that, the first option will get him to the stadium for 3.29pm. Two changes of bus and an hour and 45 minutes worth of travelling and he will only miss the first half hour. Option B will get him there for the second half but will take him 29 minutes longer – over two hours to travel.

If he doesn’t like those he can take Option C – 1 Hour and 50 mins to get there at 4.08pm or option D to get him there 5 minutes before the end of the match after a 1 Hour and 55 minute journey. At least he left home before kick off!

The good news is that journeys home take less time (1 Hour 24 or 1 Hour 30) – the bad news being he has to kill more than two hours after the match waiting for the first bus. Well, I suppose he can’t complain too loudly at least he didn’t see too much of the match!

As you can imagine Our Derek was made up to receive these today and thought he should share them with us so we have reproduced them below.

Do you think the left hand should introduce himself to the right hand and explain what he is doing?
