Defender Tate was signed on loan by Brian Flynn in 2002, Alan helped massively to keep Swansea in the league. He then returned to South Wales months later on a second loan, eventually signing a permanent contract.
Tatey played in 28 games last season, playing at centre back and right back. Jackett also tried the ex Man Utd player in central midfield, he looked quite comfortable in midfield and didn’t let the team down.
This season it looks as if Alan will play at right back, in place of the transfer listed Gurney, has played quite well in pre-season and hopefully he can continue this in league games for the coming season.
