Swindon manager Andy King is sniffing after Owain Tudor-Jones after watching him play in the Swans’ friendly at Forest Green earlier in the week.
Speaking at the official Swindon photo call today, King told their official site
“I was after Owain Tudor-Jones, having seen him play for Swansea at Forest Green the other night. “He impressed me immensely and I made a bid for him yesterday but it seems as though Swansea have got him, although things could change. “In the future that he will be a very good player and he impressed me with his display at the beginning of the week. He may come back and say he will choose Swindon but it’s doubtful.” The fact that Swansea have offered him a month’s deal to start with and Kenny is clearly impressed makes it more unlikely Andy but I guess you can dream!! King had earlier referred to OTJ with these comments “I have been in contact with several players and have targets in mind. I have seen a player that I like and I have convinced the Board that I would like to make an offer for the player. I went to see him play earlier in the week and he is someone who excited me. “There are other teams interested in him so he has options, but I am very keen to bring him to Swindon Town Football Club. He is a not a player that fans will know about, but he has something about him and I am hoping to move for him,” he said.
