Kevin McLeod has become the 4th Swansea player in consecutive seasons to win a PFA player of the month award.
The man who has notched seven goals this season was the winner in League One meaning he will immediately go into the hat at the end of the season as one who can win the League One player of the season award.
Macca’s September was a fruitful one with a hat-trick in the 7-1 demolition of Bristol City being the highlight. In addition he also notched 2 goals against Barnsley and one each against Walsall and Doncaster at the end of August.
His award follows previous awards for Leon Britton, Lee Trundle and Kris O’Leary in these categories and is another successful campaign for fans of the Swans who vote for their players.
McLeod will receive his award from a Swans fan at a home game in the near future. Other divisional winners were Charlton’s Darren Bent (Premiership), Luton’s Warren Feeney (Championship) and Rob Gier of Rushden (League Two)
Well done Macca!
