Bauza limped off towards the end of the 1-0 defeat and was replaced by Darryl Duffy who is most likely to benefit from the absence of Bauza with a return to the Swansea bench for the next few weeks.
Bauza has been in good form of late with a string of goals as well as a recent nomination for League One player of the month – an award he just missed out on securing.
“Bussy will be out for two to three weeks with a groin strain,” Richie Evans told the club’s official web-site.
“While we’ve been preaching the prevention of injuries all season, there is only so much you can do when fatigue sets in due to the huge fixture schedule the players have to endure.
“That’s the reality of it and it’s extremely frustrating.
“Now we’ve got to work hard to counter the swelling with plenty of ice before building him back up with some straight line running.”
Fabien Brandy will move up the pecking order to one behind Jason Scotland although Roberto is expected to leave both Brandy and Duffy on the bench for the start against Luton on Friday evening
