Bayo has scored six times on his return to competitive football following his release from Swansea – a route that took him via Yeovil, Torquay and Millwall on the way. And the striker, who was released from the Liberty Stadium last summer, has proved an instant hit at the Cobblers.
Bayo was offered a new deal to stay at Swansea but declined it and opted to move on at the end of last season but Roberto bears no grudges as he told the official site "Bayo was a fantastic player for us,
"We offered to extend his contract while he recovered from his broken leg, but he opted for a new challenge.
"You've got to respect the player's decision and we all wish him well because he is a fantastic character – a big, soft fella!
"I'm happy to see Bayo back and I hope he keeps on scoring goals – after Saturday, of course.''
