Roberto Fears Burn Out

The Swans travel to Northampton on Saturday for the first of five fixtures in the next two weeks which will shape their destiny over the remaining month of the season past then.  After Northampton, the Swans travel to Bristol Rovers, Southend and Hartlepool with only a home game against Bristol Rovers sandwiched in between the last two.

And whilst Roberto believes that they have nothing to fear from any of the away trips he is concerned about the fact that his players have to play so often in such a short period of time.  "I know every team has got that in the league, but with the way we play, it is hugely demanding when you want to control the play and be on the ball for 90 minutes.

"We have got five games in a short period and we need to make sure everyone is fresh enough to perform in those games.

"The seven away games will be seven different challenges and one of the is Carlisle. I don't think there are any easy games.

"Overall I am looking forward to the four games at home because I know the fans will really sense how much we need them and how important this period is to make sure we take Swansea City to the next level.

"The pressure is the demands we put on ourselves," he said. "We didn't get the return in the last two games that we wanted because of our high standards, but nothing else."
