The Swans travel to come face to face with Bayo for the first time since his release last summer and he believes that his former team mates are destined for the Championship as he looks to fire the goals himself that could move Northampton closer to the play off spots. Bayo has been in electric form since signing for the Cobblers – hitting six goals already – and has become hugely popular with the players, management and supporters alike.
And he now believes that the Swans can press on and finally bury the heartache of two years ago when he himself missed a penalty en route to play off final heartache.
"They lost to Millwall last week so I'm sure they'll be very aggressive when they play us." he told the local Northampton paper
"They can allow us three points, though – they can spare us that because they are definitely going to win the league.
"It will be good to see all the old boys again, but I'm playing for Northampton now and I want Northampton to get the three points.
"I'm 100 per cent sure they will win this league.
"They've got the best team, they play the best football and their manager will take them places as well as doing very well for himself.
"I will be very shocked if they don't win the league.
"I've got no ill will towards them. I've got nothing but love for Swansea City and I'm glad they are where they are in the league.
"They should be in the Championship because they deserve it."
