Two Weeks Absence For Bodde

Bodde went down heavily under challenge and immediately signalled to the bench and was replaced with Owain Tudur Jones almost as soon as the Swans had pulled back the two goal deficit.

And initial diagnosis was a groin strain and that he will miss around two weeks (according to the official website) with a projected return date of either – it seems – of Carlisle or Gillingham.

Bodde has been in instrumental form for large parts of the season for the Swans with 6 league goals to his credit in his first season in English football although it has been slightly marred by two suspensions from red cards against Doncaster and Leeds.   However, there is little doubt he has calmed down a little since the second of those sendings off and since his return from that five match ban he has been booked just the once – ironically during last night's game.

His place in midfield looks set to go initially to Tudur Jones assuming Roberto sticks with the formation although if he sticks with the formation that turned last night's game then it is almost certain that Darren Pratley will replace Bodde in midfield.

The Swans next match is against Hartlepool on Saturday.
