Roberto Tight Lipped On Contract Offers

A win on Saturday coupled with defeat for Doncaster would see the Swans secure the promotion that everyone craves so much and be the end of an incredible first season in management for the former Swans captain.

And he is keeping true to one of his early words at the end of last season when he said that he would not allow so many players to have their contracts run out as he worked through that little problem last May.  And, as rumours spread, that some new deals have been signed, Roberto is keeping tight lipped on the subject although you always suspect that it is far more under control then it appears from the outside.

"I said we were going to change the way we did things in the past and we have done." Roberto told the Evening Post

"A number of the players concerned signed contracts some time ago and a couple of others will depend on how we finish and where we are next season.

"There are probably going to be two or three players out of contract this summer, but it won't be like last year when players were uncertain about their futures.

"I don't like to keep people not knowing and that won't happen at this club anymore.

"I don't like to talk about personal situations when the season is going on," he added.

"The fans have a right to be informed and as soon as the season ends, they will know what is happening.

"But at the moment it would distract us from the aim of getting Swansea City where we want to be.

"I can assure you we are dealing with things. We have been talking all season about personal situations without making a scene."
