The striker – with 29 goals to his name – was named the top player in League One for March after a scoring streak that has put the Swans on the verge of promotion.  If Scotland scores tomorrow it will be an incredible 9th away match in a row that he has managed that feat.

Also short-listed for the March award were Nicky Forster of Brighton & Hove Albion, Paul Heffernan of Doncaster Rovers and Southend United's (on loan from Reading) Hal Robson-Kanu.

Chris Kamara, chairman of the Powerade Player of the Month Awards panel, said: "Nine goals in eight games says it all.

"Jason's performances have been improving all season and there's no doubt that he is capable of playing at a higher level.

"He is in excellent form this year as his position as the leading goal scorer in League One proves." S

ThePowerade Awards panel, chaired by Sky Sports pundit and Coca-Cola Ambassador Chris Kamara, made the decision.  The panel also includes Paul Hetherington, Chairman of the Football Writers' Association, Malcolm Clarke, Chairman of the Football Supporters' Federation and James Williams, Head of Brand Experience, Coca-Cola Great Britain
