Four Up If Leeds Win Says Doncaster Chairman

With Swansea City having already booked their place in next season's Championship, the division could be thrown into chaos on May 1 if Leeds get back their fifteen points – a decision that would propel them ahead of Carlisle – currently 2nd – and Doncaster into the automatic promotion spots.

And the Doncaster chief believes if that happens then the League have to make changes as compensation to those who will find the goalposts moving on the eve of the final weekend of the season.

Ryan believes that his side will be joined by the likes of Bristol Rovers, Carlisle, Nottingham Forest, Southend, Walsall and Brighton if the arbitration panel finds in favour of Leeds and upholds their claim that the point deduction was unfair and unjust.

Speaking in the News of the World, Ryan said "If anyone is denied their rightful place in the Championship then I think an extra club should be promoted.

"It's ludicrous that a promotion issue should be settled in court and teams who have done nothing wrong should be affected.

"The timing of the whole thing is scandolous too.  I promise that Doncaster and, I suspect, a host of other teams will not roll over and die about this.  Imagine if Manchester United won the Premier League then someone else denied them by reclaiming 15 points.  It wouldn't happen, would it?"
