It was expected that the midfielder – currently out injured – would play no part in the final few weeks of the season but manager Roberto Martinez revealed that he had been hoping to be able to welcome his influential playmaker back before the season finale on Saturday week.
And with the Swans stuttering a little in his absence it is understandable quite why Roberto would want him back earlier than expected
"Ferrie is already out. He is pushing really hard for Brighton but we'll have to assess whether it is worth it or not." Martinez told the Western Mail
"It is very important that he has a good break because playing too many games is the reason he picked up the injury.
"But it's greast to see the determination he has shown to be involved before the season ends.
"It speaks volumes about the player, he is a fighter and that is the sort of character you want at your football club."
