Leeds Victory Makes Swans Wait

The victory sealed Leeds place in the play offs irrespective of the outcome of the arbitration hearing which is due on or before next Thursday.  In theory, if we were to do anything today other than win, and Leeds claimed back the maximum points then they would go into the final weekend of the season ahead and favourites to claim a title that many sports media outlets have already declared as ours.

Doughie Freedman scored the only goal of the game in the 4th minute and Leeds held on for victory despite the second half sending off of Alan Sheehan.

The win for Leeds ends any hopes of Brighton reaching the play offs which is potentially good news for us next week when we travel there and, if Carlisle obtain victory this season, then I would personally back Leeds to be returned five points in the arbitration hearing moving them from 6th to 3rd but not affecting the top two places.

But then again that is just the cynic in me.
