Duffy is a target for Rovers after a disappointing season at the Liberty whilst Way is being targetted by his old club with whom he spent a loan spell last season. Very little has gone right for Way since he left Huish Park back in early 2006 with a series of injuries having hampered him throughout his career.
Although there is no confirmation of any definite bids from either club rumours have surfaced for several weeks of the interest of the South West and both Duffy and Way seem almost certain for Liberty Stadium departures this summer.
And Chairman Huw Jenkins was not going to be pushed into an answer on whether the players would depart stating that they would be welcome to stay and fight for their place if that was what they wanted to do.
"We are focused on strengthening our squad and making it competitive for the Championship," he told the Evening Post.
"We don't want to sell any of our players.
"Roberto has spoken to everyone in the squad and told them if they feel it would benefit their career by seeking first-team football somewhere else then that is up to them.
"A couple of clubs have shown interest in our players but there is nothing official in it. It is in the players' hands. If they want to stay here and fight for their place then that is great for us."
But somehow you just can't see it happening for either player?
