Interest is high in the Liverpool winger at the moment with both Swansea and Nottingham Forest prepared to take him on although on very different terms. Forest are prepared to bid now £750,000 and reports have suggested they may go as high as £2 million whilst the Swans want to take another long term loan option on the player who made such an impact last season.
And Roberto believes that Swansea could be the better option for the winger who is tipped to make Liverpool's first team at some stage in the future.
Speaking in today's Western Mail, Roberto said “Paul is a Liverpool player and they will have the final say
“Because he did so well for us, he has generated a lot of interest this summer.
“We have always said we want him to come back because of what he has done for this club and what he offers as a player. We know he will be good enough at the next level.
“The Championship will help Paul’s development as a player and we believe we can help him bridge the gap between where he is now and Liverpool’s first team.”
Anderson himself admitted earlier in the week that a 6 month loan deal may be the best move for him and Swans Chairman Huw Jenkins has insisted the player's next move would not be about money which heightens speculation that Swansea could be leading the chase at the moment.
