Espanyol Defender Linked With Liberty Switch

The 23 year old defender has been linked in today's Evening Post with a move to the Liberty Stadium – a move he could be making with Gorka Pintado and Jordi Gomez – his team mate at Espanyol.

Serran made just one appearance for Espanyol last season in the Spanish Primera Division and is rumoured to be the next name on the list of Roberto Martinez as he builds what is starting to make Swansea look like a mini corner of Spain.

Martinez has already scouted in Spain on more than one occasion since our season ended in Brighton on May 3 and he is determined to add more defenders to his squad ahead of the report back for pre season training at the start of July.

And whilst there is nothing concrete to back this up it is a very random name to come up with and not one that you would normally associate with silly season and transfer rumours.

Time will tell but the Spanish trio could soon become a Spanish six at this rate – how many do you need for an inquisition?
