After slapping a £2m valuation on the head of Bodde, the Swans had no hesitation in turning down the offer on the basis it fell well short of their own valuation of the player.
"Derby's improved bid still comes nowhere near our valuation,'' confirmed Swans chairman Huw Jenkins.
“As far as we are concerned, we're in the same frame of mind as we have always been,” said Jenkins.
“We sent them a response pretty quickly, we rejected their offer.
“It comes nowhere near our evaluation so we will sit tight and see what develops from here until the start of the season.”
50% of the profit the Swans make on Bodde will be due to Den Haag as per a sell on clause in the player's contract.
