Swansea City will start their Championship campaign with a tricky trip to South London to take on Charlton at the Valley following the fixture announcement made today.

The tough trip will take place on August 9 with the first home league game of the season 7 days later against Nottingham Forest at the Liberty.   An away tie with Plymouth follows on August 23 with Sheffield Wednesday the lucrative visitors to the Liberty the following Saturday ending an eventful August.

Cardiff City arrive at the Liberty Stadium on November 29 – a game likely to be changed for two reasons – Wales host Australia at the Millennium Stadium on that day as well as the obvious whilst the return is scheduled for Ninian Park on April 4 – one of the last few games of the season.

Coventry are the visitors to the Liberty Stadium on Boxing Day whilst Birmingham provide the opposition at St Andrews two days later.  The Easter fixtures generate some serious travelling for supporters with Norwich at the Liberty on Easter Saturday with the Swans travelling to Barnsley on April 13.

The season ends at the Liberty against Blackpool on Sunday May 3.
