A goal from a corner and one from a free kick meant the Swans lost their opening Championship fixture 2-0 at the Valley and De Vries has revealed that the Swans have been working hard to ensure that it does not become a problem again for them.
Defending from set pieces has long since been highlighted as a weakness for the Swans and it is pleasing to see that this is now being reflected in the work being done on the training pitch although I suspect this is not the first time but the first time that it has been highlighted in the media.
De Vries told BBC Sport "We try to focus on every goal scored against us to see what we can do defensively in those situations
"We trained a lot on Monday especially those situations and will do more to make sure everything is 100 per cent.
"We can't afford to lose games on set pieces because football-wise we are good and comfortable."
