Around half the Swans tickets available for this game have been sold in the four days of sale so far with queues reported at the Liberty Stadium of upwards of three hours.
As tempers get frayed by those queuing a club spokesman has stepped forward and passed an apology onto those who have experienced the problems and blamed problems with the telephone system on fans asking "ridiculous" questions
Speaking in the Evening Post, the "spokesman" said "The club apologises for the length of time to buy tickets. This has been caused by the requirement for proof of identification to be produced and recorded.
"Because of past history, one requirement is that the details of the person sitting in each and every seat must be noted."
The spokesman added: "I would appeal to people not to take their frustration out on staff, but to be patient — there are plenty of tickets available if they are prepared to wait for them."
He said the telephones had also been blocked because of people asking the date of the game, the office opening hours and even the length of the queue outside.
"These ridiculous questions are preventing people wanting to book tickets from getting through."
