Swansea City travel to the Keepmoat Stadium on Saturday – a place where they triumphed 4-0 last season en route to winning the League One title.
Doncaster have a reputation for wanting to play football and Monk believes that will mean the game is closer to last weekend’s win over Southampton rather than the midweek defeat to Wolves.
Speaking to the Evening Post, the Swans captain said “Wolves were very direct, but Doncaster like to pass it and it should be a completely different game
“It could be a bit more like the Southampton game last Saturday, so hopefully we can go and impose ourselves on them.
“We can take a lot of heart from producing a performance like we did at a place like Wolves.
“We were disappointed not to get a point at least because we felt we more than matched them
“To concede a goal right at the end of the first half was very disappointing because we’d dealt with everything they’d thrown at us pretty well.
“In the second half I thought we controlled it. Some of our play was superb and we created enough chances to get a result.”
