Pratley received a yellow card for the ‘challenge’ that earned the home side a penalty and clearly disputed the decision hotley at the time.ย He had to be pushed away by captain Garry Monk to ensure no second yellow was to follow but was relieved to see Dimi save the resulting penalty and keep the Swans in the Championship Top 10.
But even after the game, the midfielder was not happy about the decision to award the penalty in the first place as he told the Evening Post.
“It was soft and I didn’t think it was a penalty at the time. I’ve seen it back and it definitely wasn’t. We’re both pulling at each other and then he’s gone down and the referee’s given it
“The game wasn’t the best game and the referee’s tried to get involved. I think he felt sorry for them. If that was a pen, there’d be a pen every 10 seconds in a game.
“We were both at each other. He went to have a strike and as he fell over he leant on me.
“Obviously after you save a penalty you’re happy with a point, but we should be coming here and winning against Doncaster
“I thought we were the better team, and if Angel’s shot had gone in during the first half then we’d have gone on to win. This was always going to be a tough game โ they’re bottom of the league with something to prove.
“You’re going to get some games when your passing isn’t great when you play so often in a short space of time, but they’re a passing team and they didn’t really pass it too well themselves.
“It was a battle, we had a chance to win it and they had a chance with the penalty. In the end it was probably even.”
