Swans Deny Crewe Lawrence Permission

The big defender – on loan from Swansea City – will be forced to sit out Crewe’s game with Ebbsfleet today after the Swans denied him permission to play.

Had he played then he would have been cup-tied although as someone who has yet to feature this season it is unlikely to think that he would play for us in the 3rd Round when we enter the competition in January.

Speaking to the official Crewe website, Steve Holland said “Roberto did everything in his power to try and accomodate us and that is why the decision has takne so long to come. With Dennis only on loan with us for another two months, Swansea understandably do not want him to be cup-tied as they do enter the competition until the third round.”

Lawrence has made 5 appearances for Crewe this season.
