O’Leary To Lead Swans Exodus?

The papers report that Roberto has opened talks with his out of contract players although it appears that only Dorus De Vries will be offered a new deal with O’Leary, Lawrence and Matty Collins three names who are rumoured to not be here next season.

O’Leary has been a watcher more than a participant this season with his last appearance in a first team competitive game being back in March at home to Millwall.ย  He did make a cameo appearance in his testimonial match in the summer but it does appear that the curtain is about to come down on more than ten years with the club.

Dennis Lawrence made one appearance this season – in the Carling Cup against Brentford – before being shipped out on loan to Crewe and that in itself suggested that it was all over for him at Swansea after almost 100 appearances since singing back in 2006.

Matty Collins was a starter in the team at the start of the season but he has not featured since the 2-1 Carling Cup win over Hull back in August.

Febian Brandy is also not expected to have his loan spell renewed when it expires on 17 January after failing to make a single league start on his return to the club.
