The Swansea City vice captain has seen the team lift themselves to the verge of the play off places with an unbeaten run that stretches back to November.
And whilst some of their rivals were out splashing the cash in the January window there was little activity at the Liberty as Roberto put his faith in the players who have served him so well to date.
And Tate does not believe that it should be any other way as he told the Evening Post “When you look at some of the figures going around it puts our success into perspective
“It is probably a shoestring budget we have compared to the rest of the league.
“Money doesn’t bother me โ as long as I’m happy, that’s the main thing.
“The more you are happy in the area and you care about it, then you will do even better for the club.
“We have had a successful season so far, but we can’t leave it at that.
“Getting into the play-offs is not impossible at all. We have to keep going and leave the teams ahead of us looking over their shoulders.
“I watched Sky Sports News the other day and they put up their odds for the play-off race โ there were teams below us mentioned while we didn’t get a shout
“It’s better that no-one is talking about us because we can sneak up on a play-off spot. That’s what Bristol City did last season and they were one victory away from the Premier League.”
