Dimi’s Cardiff City Move Is A Compliment

The Swansea City manager cites his logic as a sign of how far the team have come that fellow promotion rivals want to snap up one of the players that they have been using.

Dimi spent three months on loan at the Liberty Stadium before a delay in returning to Coventry meant that it could not be extended and he had to return to the Ricoh.  Just days later he was snapped up on a season long loan by the Bluebirds as cover for the injured Peter Enckleman.

But far from being bitter at the move, Roberto told the Evening Post "It's not a problemClick here!

"Dimi wanted to sign for us and because of the situation with the weather and Coventry it didn't happen.

"After that Coventry were trying to send him out on loan somewhere and from the player's point of view, he had to accept the first offer in the Championship that came his way.

"He had an enjoyable time with us and now we will see what happens.

"It shows you how far we've come when they need to pick players we have been using

"If you look back two, three or four seasons, that's something I don't think they would have dreamt of doing, so I see it as a sign that we are going the right way."
