The Fulham manager will welcome Swansea City to Craven Cottage on Tuesday looking to take his team into the quarter finals of the FA Cup and a tie with Manchester United in the process.
And despite being the favourites to take that quarter final place, Hodgson is worried that the game comes a little over two days after they take on West Brom at the same venue this afternoon.
He believes that playing Sunday and Tuesday has given the Swans the advantage in the tie and he told News of the World “It bothers me why we have to play on Sunday and again the following Tuesday.
“Our chances of getting through against Swansea have been severely hampered – that turnaround has given our opponents a big advantage. I can’t say I’m particularly delighted about the situation at all.
“We’ll have to concentrate on West Brom and then do our best against Swansea
“But I wouldn’t be putting too much money on the result.”
In perspective the Swans have an additional 22 and a half hours to prepare for the game. Excuses already?
