The Swansea City midfielder headed to the County Ground this week for a month's long loan after falling outside the Swans squad.

Tudur Jones appears to be well down the pecking order of midfielders at the club after the impressive form of another youngster Joe Allen who has made the most of his chance at the Liberty.

And the Wales man also admitted that his international aspirations made his decision easier and he said "If it carried on with me not getting games I was going to drop out of the Wales squad.

"Now I'm at Swindon, John Toshack will see that I'm playing games.   I spoke to him about moving away on loan in January.

"He said 'Wherever you go just go and play some games' That's what's important to him.

"It's not the main reason I joined Swindon but I've got to think about Wales.  I've got my ambitions I want to achieve and if I can I want to stay in that Welsh squad."
